Yesterday I took a ride to the New England Botanic Garden, near Worchester, Massachusetts.
I traveled to meet up with the New England Hosta Society at its annual meeting.
I have been a member for many years. I enjoy all the “hostaphiles” as they oh so lovingly call themselves.
The garden features several acres of various gardens.
I thought it would be good to see what this botanical garden included in its choise of late autumn plants in a vase.
I thought I’d find mums, for sure.
Well here is what I found:
Right. There were no plants in any of the rather large grey containers that I saw.
In the photo above you can see in the background many plants in their containers along rows in the greenhouse. But I wanted to see the Garden’s choice for outdoor late autumn plants.
